Lalani organizes Game-o-Thon 2014, PC Gaming Event

Game-o-Thon 2014, the most-awaited PC gaming event organized every year by one of India's largest IT and Mobile Retail Chains, Lalani e-tech City is all geared up to be kick-started on 8th August, 2014. This will be a 3-day affair from 8th–10th August, wherein professionals and amateur gamers would battle it out at Lalani e-tech City for great prizes and ultimate recognition.

Gigabyte and AMD, which have always promoted the gaming community, are the main sponsors, followed by associate sponsors HP, Acer, Lenovo, Thermaltake, HIS and D-Link.

The games that will be played are FIFA '11, FIFA '14, Need For Speed and Cricket '07. These are one of the most popular individual PC games in India. Apart from these, Counter Strike 1.6, one of the oldest and legendary Team game, will also be played out. To encourage more participants, there are no entry fees for the event this year. With registrations pouring in, more than 1,000 gamers are expected to participate in this celebration of Gaming.

"We feel this is one of the fastest-growing and most exciting communities and it should be promoted, so that we can have more participants from India at the international level. The industry is huge outside India, and it is like a full-time profession for gamers in certain countries. We feel we should encourage young gamers, and recognize them so that they are nurtured well and can take up gaming professionally in future,” said Umang Lalani, Director, Lalani e-tech City.

Lalani e-Tech City will also be conducting a gaming series between professionals from different countries. Top gamers of national repute from India and other countries have been invited for a competition. With Game-o-Thon expected to go international this year, exciting times lie ahead.
