LogMeIn Rescue and the GDPR
2021-03-18Whether you are supporting internal employees or external customers, we know that security and privacy are paramount to your organization. Because at the very heart of remote support is being able to extend help beyond your organization, chances are you have users all over the world. As such, we want to make sure you know how we at LogMeIn are already participating in the EU-U.S. and Swiss Privacy Shield Frameworks and are compliant with current applicable European Union data protection rules. The upcoming General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) that goes into effect this week holds us to this commitment even more so. Our team has been working hard to ensure the product is GDPR ready, thus protecting the personal data of our customers and their end-users.
In the spirit of knowledge sharing and transparency, we’re pleased to share with you the LogMeIn GDPR Readiness Center. Here, you will find a number of resources to answer your questions about how LogMeIn Rescue is approaching GDPR readliness including:
- An overview of how LogMeIn Rescue is GDPR ready
- Security and Privacy Organizational Controls (SPOCs) for Rescue that describe in detail the overall security and privacy controls that are being put into place in order to protect customers’ critical data and processes
- A general overview of what GDPR is and how LogMeIn is meeting relevant requirements
- Frequently asked questions
We’ve also updated our Data Processing Agreement to ensure that we have appropriate legal transfer mechanisms in place in support of GDPR.
We recognize the importance and complexity that regulations like the GDPR pose to our customers. This Readiness Center provides some of the basic tools and documentation needed to understand how LogMeIn is approaching this initiative, and data security and privacy, as a whole. We will continue to update the Readiness Center with new resources, as well as provide updates to existing resources as they become available. Please check back often or sign up for the RSS feed for real-time updates.
