Actress Mahhi Vij has spoken out amid ongoing divorce rumours with husband Jay Bhanushali, asking fans and media not to believe speculative reports until she addresses them directly. In a heartfelt video, Mahhi urged respect for their privacy and that of their children, emphasizing that false claims have caused emotional distress.
She dismissed reports alleging she demanded ₹5 crore in alimony as “completely baseless,” clarifying that such assumptions undermine independent women. “I work for a living — the idea of alimony doesn’t apply to me,” she said, adding that people should verify facts before spreading misinformation.
Mahhi expressed concern over how the rumours have affected their children, noting that even her daughter Tara feels the impact of constant media scrutiny. “Jay is my family and will always remain my family. He’s an incredible father and a good human being,” she said, reaffirming their bond.
