MAIT, commenting on the appointment of Chandrababu Naidu as the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh, stated, "MAIT congratulates Chandrababu Naidu for steering the TDP to victory and becoming the Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. Chandrababu Naidu, known for his forethought on decentralizing development, has put the state of Hyderabad on the world map and is known as the patron saint of IT, e-governance, electronics and manufacturing. Naidu has exemplified the use of technology in education, healthcare, infrastructure, financial inclusion and governance, which has paved the way for bolstering the growth of Andhra Pradesh."
MAIT is confident that the Naidu government would provide an environment that can enable investment promotion and accelerate the growth of domestic manufacturing, providing tax incentives and contemplating the creation of manufacturing corridors across the coastline for the electronics manufacturing industry, thereby addressing the issue of resource crunch. We look forward to Mr Naidu developing AP into an ESDM hub, the same way he transformed Hyderabad into a lucrative IT destination some years back.
