The Chief Business Officer of Facebook parent Meta, Marne Levine is going to step out from the company after a 13-year stint on February 21, 2023, and will remain an employee until her departure. Levine joined Meta (then called Facebook) in July 2010 as the firm's first ever Vice President of Global Policy. She has worked across different roles during her 13-year stint including Instagram Chief Operating Officer for over three years, and VP of Global Partnerships, Business and Corporate Development for nearly three and half years.
Going forward, longtime Meta executives Nicola Mendelsohn and Justin Osofsky will be taking on expanded roles as the company's most senior sales and partnership leaders, representing the firm with its advertisers and partners. Both the executives will report to Meta COO Javier Olivan.
"This new structure continues to bring our business and product teams closer together and helps them operate even more effectively to serve our clients," Meta said in a statement.
Levine's exit comes nearly eight months after Sheryl Sandberg stepped down as Meta chief operating officer in June 2022.
