Meta Launches Gaming Accelerator in India with Top VCs

 

 

Meta has launched the Gaming Accelerator India, a strategic three-month incubator program aimed at fueling the growth of small and mid-sized game developers and studios across the country. This marks a significant push by Meta to deepen its investment in India’s fast-growing, mobile-first gaming ecosystem.

The Meta Gaming Accelerator brings together an elite group of venture capital partners—Elevation Capital, Kalaari Capital, Lumikai Fund, and Bitkraft Ventures—to provide funding, mentorship, and business support to selected gaming startups. These VCs are known for their deep involvement in gaming VC funding in India and will play a crucial role in identifying and nurturing high-potential Indian game developers.

 

Announced during Meta’s Gaming Edition of the Marketing Summit, the initiative aligns with broader trends in AI-led game development and the rise of the creator economy. The accelerator will offer participants access to Meta’s cutting-edge tools, including its AI platforms, monetization solutions, and advertising technologies. It will also provide tailored mentorship from global gaming experts to help participants refine their gameplay mechanics, user retention strategies, and community-building efforts.

India’s gaming market, expected to surpass $8.6 billion by 2027, has become one of the most vibrant in the world, driven largely by mobile gaming and a young, tech-savvy population. By launching this accelerator, Meta is positioning itself at the heart of this transformation—empowering Indian developers to compete on the global stage while building sustainable game businesses.
