Microsoft has started rolling out the revamped Teams preview for the Public Preview Program. The tech giant has integrated Microsoft Loop into Teams chats so that users can directly work on a loop component without having to leave the app. The latest version features a sleek and straightforward interface, an integrated Microsoft Loop, upgraded meeting experiences, and flexible customisation options, rendering it an indispensable tool for any project.
Users will now be able to see meeting participants while presenting. Microsoft has also updated the Teams app with what it calls 'materials like Windows 11 Mica'. This will help Teams better blend into users’ workspace. The canvas colour has been changed from grey to white, and the signature purple Teams colour has been dialed back to be more purposeful in its use.
Microsoft Teams has revamped its channel experience to enhance its user-friendliness and navigation. One of the noticeable changes is the new post-and-reply interface at the top, which offers a more familiar experience to users who can send and read new posts with ease.
The new Teams app will have more collaborative and expressive features, such as the "together emoji" which results in a playful animation when two people high-five each other. The new chat experience now includes the option to add group profile pictures and themes, by using unique avatars or colors providing greater customization possibilities.
