Bikanervala has become cashless with Indian mobile wallet major MobiKwik. The two home grown companies have partnered to offer the ease of seamless, mobile-based payments to users at 51 Bikanervala outlets in 14 cities.
Vineet Singh, Chief Business Officer, MobiKwik, said, “Bikanervala is a popular family outlet and we are proud to become their wallet partner. After demonetization, digital payments have increased to 75% from 20–25% levels earlier and MobiKwik will offer a more efficient digital payments solution to all Bikanerwala customers."
Customers of Bikanervala can pay securely with MobiKwik in just two steps with OTP (one-time password). Upon sharing the mobile number with the billing operator, the customer receives an OTP. The OTP needs to be shared with the billing operator to complete the payment process. An OTP is valid for only transaction on a computer system or any digital device.
“Mobile wallet payments have grown tremendously since demonetization and the masses in India are developing a habit of paying digitally. Given this reality, we are working at light speed to make MobiKwik payments ubiquitous in India,” Vineet added.
MobiKwik has been supporting the cashless transition of many home grown companies, including Amul, IRCTC, NHAI, Big Bazaar, Pantaloons, EZone, Croma and Relaxo, among others. Within the last two months of 2016, MobiKwik has added over 9 lakh merchants on its platform. The company has over 4.5 crore users and 10 lakh merchants in India.
