On Friday, President Droupadi Murmu extended an invitation to Narendra Modi to head the Central administration. Previously, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), led by the BJP, chose Modi to be the leader of the Parliamentary party and the Speaker of the House of Commons.
At Rashtrapati Bhavan, Modi met President Murmu and asserted his right to form the government. Narendra Modi will take the oath of office as prime minister for the third time on June 9 at 7:30 PM.
Yesterday PM Modi met with the President and claimed the right to form the government. Earlier, a delegation from the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), led by BJP President JP Nadda, submitted a letter to the President confirming that Mr. Modi had been chosen as the leader of the BJP Parliamentary Party. Letters of support from other NDA parties were also presented.
Prime Minister Modi's reappointment has been formalized, with the President appointing him as Prime Minister under Article 75(1) of the Constitution. This announcement suggests that the process of forming a new government is underway, with the Prime Minister-designate expected to advise on the composition of the Union Council of Ministers soon.
