Monster Employment Index India has announced June 2012 highlights which revealed that index level rises three per cent from a year ago in June, whereas agro-based industries record the highest growth, while the Travel and Tourism sector also records strong annual growth; and Government/PSU records double-digit negative decline. Demand for arts/creative professionals exhibits highest annual gain, followed by professionals in healthcare, and Coimbatore registers the strongest annual growth for the fourth month in a row. Bangalore is the strongest annual gainer among major metro markets
“The pace of recruitment growth is moderate as employers continue to exhibit a cautious approach owing to the challenging economic environment. However, there are pockets of elevated demand that suggest relatively favourable conditions in occupations like arts, healthcare, and sales,” said Sanjay Modi, Managing Director, Monster.com (India/ Middle East/ South East Asia).
