
Freshworks Inc. (NASDAQ: FRSH) has announced the appointment of Murali Swaminathan as its new Chief Technology Officer (CTO). In this pivotal role, Murali will spearhead Freshworks' technology roadmap and strategy, overseeing the global engineering and architecture teams. This move aligns with the company's ongoing investment in talent and resources aimed at enhancing both employee and customer experience solutions. Murali will join the executive management team and report directly to CEO and President Dennis Woodside.
Murali Swaminathan brings over 30 years of experience in software engineering and management to Freshworks. He joins the company from ServiceNow, where he served as Vice President of Engineering. At ServiceNow, Murali was instrumental in leading the development of the company’s IT Service Management and Strategic Portfolio Management products, which are now widely used by large enterprises around the world.

Murali's impressive career also includes key leadership roles at Recommind (now OpenText) and CA Technologies (now part of Broadcom Inc.), where he significantly contributed to the advancement of enterprise software solutions. He holds a master’s degree in Software Engineering Management from Carnegie Mellon University and a bachelor’s degree in electronics and instrumentation from Annamalai University in India.
