As per the latest update, Union Secretary in the Department of Administrative Reforms & Public Grievances, N. Ravi Shanker, has been appointed as the new Chief Secretary of Uttarakhand. Going by the reports, Ravi Shanker has replaced Subhash Kumar.
Subhash Kumar's extended tenure as Chief Secretary was to end on October 31.Shanker said that he will work for all-round development of the state and it will also be in accordance with the priorities of the Chief Minister.
Shanker belongs to the Uttarakhand cadre of 1980 batch and had gone to the Centre on deputation in 2007. Prior to that, he has worked on several responsible positions in various departments, including Energy and Public Works Department (PWD).
