NASSCOM has announced the winners of the Sixth NASSCOM Global Leadership Awards, conceptualized and presented by the company itself. The Awards seek to recognize some of the most renowned names from the world of business and technology and are presented to individuals for their role in building business excellence and technology leadership within their organizations, in the areas such as vision, excellence in IT usage, innovation and business leadership.
This year’s winners were felicitated by Sachin Pilot, Minister of State for Communications and Information Technology, at the awards ceremony on the sidelines of the NASSCOM India Leadership Forum 2010, on 10th February, 2010 in Mumbai. The Leadership Awards are announced across several parameters like the Business Leader Award, the CIO Award for excellence in IT usage, the Business Innovation Award and the Vision Award.
The year’s winner for Business Leader Award goes to Anshu Jain, Global Markets and Member of the Management Board, Deutsche Bank, AG, while Dana S. Deasy, Group CIO, British Petroleum, has been conferred with the Business Innovation Award. Filippo Passerini, President, Global Business Services & CIO, Procter & Gamble, has bagged the CIO Award for excellence in IT usage and the Vision Award was awarded to Stephen Roach, Chairman, Morgan Stanley Asia.
“It is truly an honour to accept the Business Leader Award from NASSCOM. The award is a reflection of the positive role played by Deutsche Bank in the global financial industry during the recent financial crisis. I thank the NASSCOM jury for nominating me for this prestigious award,” Anshu Jain said on receiving the award.
