NETGEAR opens R&D Centre in India

To promote business development based on local needs in the rapidly-growing Indian economy, NETGEAR (NASDAQGM: NTGR) has announced the opening of its Global Engineering Centre in Bangalore for research and development.
Patrick Lo, CEO & Chairman, NETGEAR, said, "India is the perfect playground for NETGEAR. We already have a strong team of R&D engineers in India and plan to continue expansion. The R&D team is one of the fastest-growing teams in our organization. We believe that Indian technological skills will help NETGEAR produce world-class products. We also hope to increase NETGEAR's presence in India in the future."

The addition of Global R&D Centre will also help NETGEAR include Indian customer requirements and feedback in the product design phase.
