A promotional store event hosted by Nothing in Bengaluru has triggered criticism online, with attendees alleging poor planning, overcrowding and confusion around access.
Several people who said they travelled long distances claimed they were left waiting for hours before being turned away. Posts circulating on X described inadequate communication from organisers and frustration after police were asked to disperse parts of the gathering.
One user alleged the brand drew a large turnout with a limited-time promotional offer but failed to manage the scale of response. Another visitor, who said he had come from Hyderabad, wrote that the wait ultimately ended without entry to the venue. Others labelled the experience disappointing and chaotic.
The company has not yet issued a detailed public statement addressing the complaints.

Product launches in India’s technology hubs increasingly attract fan-style participation, especially from younger buyers eager for early access, merchandise or discounts. But the episode highlights the operational risks brands face when viral marketing meets limited on-ground capacity.
As offline community events become central to device branding, expectations around safety, transparency and queue management are rising just as fast.
