NSE ropes in Shiv Kumar Bhasin as Chief Technology and Operations Officer

National Stock Exchange (NSE) has roped in Shiv Kumar Bhasin for the position of Chief Technology and Operations Officer. Bhasin will report to Vikram Limaye, Managing Director & CEO of NSE.

Prior to this, he was associated with State Bank of India (SBI) as Global CTO. During his stint at SBI, he was instrumental in bringing about a huge digital transformation by leveraging technologies like Blockchain, Internet of Things (IoT), Robotic Process Automation (RPA) and Artificial Intelligence (AI).

He also transformed the server infrastructure to cloud-based, software-defined data centers, virtualization of branches – Branch on cloud, network transformation for data centers and branches, ATM switch and payments gateway, and digital channels - internet and mobile banking transformations.

Bhasin has an experience of more than 23 years. He has worked across Fortune 500 financial services companies. He specializes in digital transformation, customer experience, design thinking, IoT and robotics, enterprise wide digitization of business processes.

Shiv Kumar Bhasin has previously worked at Gartner, Oracle, Experian Data Quality, Barclays Retail, Fidelity Investments, Hughes Software Systems, Imagitas, and Parametric Technology.
