NTT DATA has launched a new program aimed at helping multinational companies set up and scale global capability centers (GCCs) in India, as demand for offshore innovation hubs accelerates.
The company said its GCC Innovation Acceleration Program, launched in October 2025, is designed to support more than 50 enterprises over the next three years in building and expanding strategic delivery and innovation centers.
The move comes as global firms increasingly turn to India for technology talent and cost-efficient innovation. NTT DATA said India’s GCC ecosystem is expected to grow nearly 70% to reach $110 billion by 2030, up from about $65 billion currently, with over 2,500 centers employing around 4.5 million professionals.
The program will support companies across the full lifecycle of GCC development, including planning, governance design, talent development and operational optimization.
It will also focus on accelerating innovation through technologies such as generative and agentic AI, high-performance computing, digital twins, robotics and blockchain, while enabling co-creation of research and development projects from proof-of-concept to commercialization.
Avinash Joshi said enterprise adoption of artificial intelligence within GCCs is still at an early stage, with fewer than 20% of centers currently using AI as a core capability.
He said the program aims to help organizations scale AI adoption and translate it into measurable business outcomes.
NTT DATA has already supported several GCC initiatives in India, including work with Unilever’s Bengaluru hub, where it helped shape global innovation strategy and deploy advanced R&D technologies.
The company is also collaborating with DENSO and other global enterprises on digital platform development and manufacturing innovation projects.
Hiroshi Furukawa said GCCs are evolving into critical engines of global competitiveness, and the new program will leverage NTT DATA’s global workforce and technology capabilities to support co-innovation with clients.
The launch underscores India’s growing role as a global hub for enterprise technology, as companies expand offshore operations to drive innovation, scale AI adoption and improve operational efficiency.
