NVIDIA heralds GPU Evolution
2011-05-03NVIDIA has initiated the third edition of their reseller training programme. NTRAIN III will provide resellers with comprehensive insights about GPU computing and offer a first-hand showcase of the optimized PC experience powered by NVIDIA's technology. The 6-city reseller training is scheduled to begin today in Pune and it will be conducted across Surat, Indore, Bhopal and Nagpur before coming to an end in Jaipur on May 12th, 2011.
Presently, the company has 3500 registered PartnerForce members spread across India. NVIDIA's PartnerForce is a platform that enables channel partners and critical customers to access various information including training and marketing material as well as special schemes and offers. NVIDIA wants to ensure that they deliver the best in class performance to their end consumers. The training programme will serve to educate resellers about NVIDIA's GeForce and Quadro line-ups, and demonstrate how NVIDIA enables both consumers and professionals to get a superior visual experience. In addition, NTRAIN will also coach channel partners on the benefits of co-processing, i.e. powering a PC with an NVIDIA GPU in addition to a CPU. As compared to CPU only systems, CPU+GPU-enabled PCs deliver more intensive computing performance.
"Tier-2 and tier-3 cities have tremendous potential and we expect significant growth to be driven from non-metro centres," explained Vishal Dhupar, Managing Director, South Asia, NVIDIA. "Demand for visual content in these centres has seen tremendous growth -from gaming to multimedia, digital photography to video editing. We want our consumers to enjoy their visual experience. This necessitates educating our partners and resellers to enable them to better serve the needs of today’s consumers. "
"The ever-changing technology landscape demands powerful visual computing for personal as well as business purposes. We want to ensure that users get the best-in class products. NVIDIA wants all graphics consumers to NSIST on NVIDIA when it comes to intense computing. We wish to educate our channel partners about the best technological practices and help them understand the quality-standards that we vision to benchmark," concluded Vishal Dhupar.
NVIDIA has hosted two previous editions of the NTRAIN programme last year where they covered a host of other cities including Delhi, Kolkata, Guwahati, Bangalore, Chennai, Cochin, Ahmedabad and Lucknow.
