As a key manufacturing partner, Optiemus Electronics will help OnePlus boost BOM-level localisation, lower production costs, and strengthen supply chain resilience, beginning with local manufacturing of the OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z3 neckband device
Chinese technology brand OnePlus has partnered with India’s homegrown Optiemus Electronics to locally manufacture and deliver premium Internet of Things (IoT) devices. This strategic collaboration marks a significant milestone in OnePlus’ commitment to enhancing domestic production capabilities and reinforcing its long-term vision for the Indian market.
The partnership aligns with OnePlus’ broader localisation strategy, including its recent Project Starlight initiative aimed at strengthening local manufacturing and supply chains. As part of this effort, OnePlus has commenced the production of its IoT product line at a Noida-based facility, in addition to its existing range of smartphones already manufactured in India.
OnePlus’ IoT portfolio includes key offerings such as true wireless stereo (TWS) earbuds and wireless neckbands, designed to deliver the brand’s signature performance and cater to the diverse needs of Indian consumers across various price segments.
Powering local innovation together
As a key manufacturing partner, Optiemus Electronics will play a crucial role in supporting OnePlus by increasing localisation at the bill-of-materials (BOM) level, reducing production costs, and enhancing supply chain resilience. The collaboration has kicked off with the local manufacturing of the OnePlus Bullets Wireless Z3, a popular neckband device known for its ultra-low latency, powerful bass, and crisp audio clarity—offering an exceptional combination of style, comfort, and performance.
Marking this milestone collaboration, Robin Liu, CEO, OnePlus India, shared, "At OnePlus, India has always been at the heart of our journey. Our partnership with OEL to manufacture IoT products locally reflects our strong commitment to Project Starlight. This collaboration is not just about technology—it’s about empowering local communities, creating meaningful innovation, and bringing smarter, more connected experiences to our India community."
Ashok Gupta, Executive Chairman, Optiemus Group, said, “We are driven by a vision to become the most trusted and valued electronics manufacturer. Our collaboration with OnePlus marks a significant step in this journey, as we come together to co-create a future shaped by innovation and excellence. We specialize in transforming ideas into reality, and this partnership empowers us to manufacture high-quality IoT products. Together, we will continue to explore new frontiers and remain committed to playing a pivotal role in shaping the future of electronics manufacturing in India.”
