One-plus sends legal notice to lawyer for removing tweets, demands apology
One plus has sent a legal notice to the Delhi-based lawyer Gaurav Gulati, who earlier filed a legal complaint against the Chinese smartphone maker about the explosion of One Plus Nord 2, demanding him to “cease and desist" from making or publishing “any such defamatory videos or derogatory statements" against OnePlus and its products.
OnePlus said in a statement, “We confirm that we have issued a cease-and-desist notice to the concerned individual. We will follow the proper legal procedures to resolve this matter."
OnePlus has also asked Mr. Gulati to offer an “unconditional apology" on the matter along with a covenant to not to post or disseminate any “disparaging content" about OnePlus and its products in the future.
Mr. Gulati purported that the explosion happened on September 8 and he suffered burn injuries on his stomach due to the severe heat coming from the phone. He also threatened to sue the company for the explosion.
