OpenAI likely to go bankrupt by 2024
2023-08-24ChatGPT has witnessed an extraordinary adoption rate among businesses across various industries. The software has quickly become a go-to solution for automating tasks and enhancing operational efficiency.
Enterprises utilizing ChatGPT have been marveling at its potential to transform their operations. With the ability to customize the technology for specific use cases, businesses have been leveraging its power to combat financial fraud, provide market insights, and much more. OpenAI recognizes this demand and plans to capitalize on it by creating a platform where developers can offer their tailored AI models to other businesses.
Moving forward, ChatGPT, is set to launch an innovative marketplace for AI models, to bring the latest AI apps directly to the public. During a recent developer meetup held in London, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman astounded attendees by unveiling the company’s potential marketplace concept. OpenAI is poised to make a major impact on the AI landscape with this audacious venture.
If OpenAI’s plans come to fruition, it could pose a significant challenge to established tech giants’ app stores. Industry leaders such as Salesforce and Microsoft run their own app stores, catering to various software solutions. However, with OpenAI’s marketplace, developers will have the opportunity to showcase their AI models directly to customers, potentially expanding the reach of OpenAI’s revolutionary technology.
ChatGPT website has seen a continuous user decline in the first six months of the year. The users declined to 1.5 billion in July from 1.7 billion in June and 1.9 billion in May. This comes even as ChatGPT reportedly costs a whopping $700,000 (Rs 5.80 crore) per day to operate.
This also doesn't include APIs or the ChatGPT mobile app. However, experts underscores that, OpenAI is likely to go bankrupt by the end of 2024 if it doesn't get more funding soon, according to media reports.
