Paytm gets Rs 4,724 crore fund by Alipay
2019-12-13As per news source, Paytm has raised a fund of Rs 4,724.42 crore led by Alipay Singapore E-commerce, SVF Panther (Cayman), T Rowe Price Growth Stock Fund Inc. and others.
According to a regulatory filing by the company that has been accessed by business intelligence platform Tofler, Paytm has allotted 2,592,472 equity shares at $254.58 a share.
Alipay Singapore E-commerce invested Rs 1,433 crore, SVF Panther (Cayman) put in Rs 1,430 crore and T Rowe Price Growth Stock Fund invested Rs 704 crore.
Prior to this the company also announced the funding of $1 billion from SoftBank Vision Fund (SVF), Ant Financial, T Rowe Price, in November. This increased the valuation of the Noida-headquartered company from the $15 billion it was valued at in August this year to $16 billion.
