Prativa Mohapatra has stepped down as Vice President and Managing Director of Adobe India after nearly five years with the company. Adobe confirmed her departure and thanked her for her contributions, adding that India remains a strategic market and that updates regarding its future go-to-market leadership will be announced in due course.
Mohapatra made history in September 2021 by becoming the first woman to lead Adobe’s India operations. During her tenure, she played a key role in strengthening Adobe’s presence across enterprise transformation, digital experience, creativity platforms, and AI-driven workflows. Her leadership coincided with a period of rapid digital adoption, growing demand for customer experience technologies, and the emergence of generative AI across industries.
Before joining Adobe, Mohapatra spent more than two decades at IBM, where she held several senior leadership positions, including Vice President of Digital Sales for Asia Pacific. She also began her professional journey with PwC and has extensive experience in digital transformation, cognitive solutions, and artificial intelligence-led business initiatives.
Announcing her departure on LinkedIn, Mohapatra said she is “switching gears, taking a pause and refreshing before a new journey.” She expressed gratitude to customers, partners, colleagues, and stakeholders for their support throughout her tenure. While her next move remains undisclosed, her exit marks the end of a significant chapter in Adobe India’s growth story.
