Rubrik Partners with Google Cloud to Launch Advanced Cyber Resilience Solution

Rubrik today announced new capabilities designed to enhance cyber resilience for Google Cloud customers, enabling faster recovery from cyberattacks and operational disruptions.

The announcement comes at a critical time when many Indian enterprises are transitioning to cloud environments while facing evolving cyber threats.

Gupta emphasized that organizations need cyber-resilience platforms built on cloud-native principles to optimize recovery processes for both speed and cost. "Rubrik's advanced Data Threat Analytics and Orchestrated Application Recovery Playbooks aim to rapidly establish a secure recovery environment on Google Cloud, to ensure business continuity with minimal disruption," he added.

Stephen Orban, Vice President of Migrations, ISVs, & Marketplace at Google Cloud, highlighted the importance of comprehensive cyber resilience in today's threat landscape. "Our collaboration with Rubrik provides customers with the tools and technologies to establish isolated recovery environments on Google Cloud, fortified by the proactive security insights and expertise of Mandiant."

Key Offerings of the Collaboration

The partnership delivers several solutions specifically designed for Google Cloud:

● Cloud-Based Isolated Recovery Environment - Developed in collaboration with Mandiant, this solution aims to enhance organizational cyber resilience by securing business-critical data backups from cyber threats. It leverages Rubrik's Data Threat Analytics and Orchestrated Application Recovery Playbooks, combined with Mandiant's security assessments and Incident Response services.

● Strengthened Protection for Google Cloud Engine and Google Cloud SQL - New threat-analytics capabilities planned for Anomaly Detection, Data Discovery and Classification, Turbo Threat Hunting, and Threat Monitoring are designed to proactively detect threats, accelerate incident response, and ensure data protection and compliance.

● Enterprise-grade Protection for Google Workspace - Rubrik's solution offers protection for mission-critical SaaS data through immutable backups, automated anomaly detection, and rapid, granular recovery options.

Rubrik's strengthened protection for Google Cloud Engine is available immediately, while other capabilities—including new threat analytics, expanded protection for Google Cloud SQL and Google Workspace, and the Cloud-Based Isolated Recovery Environment—are planned for future release.
