Sameer Garde has a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from IIT, Delhi and an MBA from Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta. Sameer has 18 years of Sales and Marketing experience with organizations like Nestle, Pepsi and Whirlpool, prior to joining Dell. Sameer joined Dell in April 2004, and has since held many leadership roles in Dell International Services as well as Dell APJ.
In his tenure as the Director of Transaction Sales for US BSD, ANZ BSDt, Imaging Sales, he played a key role in turning around the US BSDt business to become Best of Breed. He also built a cohesive team of 400 people, and drove the people agenda within the organization. In July 2005, Sameer moved to the India Sales organization and has played a key role in shaping our Relationship business over the years. Under his leadership as the Acting Country Manager for India in FY07, Sameer helped accelerate the revenue growth to 40%, and helped drive Dell's growth at significant multiples to the market growth, resulting in large market share gains.
