Every day we see more AI integration in our favorite apps and services. And, Samsung recently shared its belief in the AI, which will be able to anticipate your needs without you having to make any adjustments, thus making ‘Settings’ a redundant feature. Though the exact form of a Settings-free smartphone hasn't been unveiled yet, industry speculations have already begun.
If South Korean media reports are to be believed then Samsung wants to avoid you having to go through the Settings menu on your Galaxy device. The company would resort to AI’s learning capabilities to achieve this. In the future, this could lead to phones where you don’t have to go through the Settings menu ever again.
The power of LLMs allows both to enable impressive features and speed up processes. They can also learn about your usage habits to adapt specific parameters to you. With that in mind, Samsung would be developing a feature that would automatically adjust certain options for you through the power of AI on Galaxy phones without you having to access the Settings menu.
If Samsung’s project goes well, the company will likely extend adaptive AI to more features and options on your Galaxy phone. This could lead to a future where the very existence of the Settings menu is redundant. However, it’s still too early to talk about such a drastic change. After all, AI should be able to cover any configuration requirements you want to change for that.
The company would focus the new feature first on two key sections: keyboard and camera. Thanks to AI, your Galaxy phone would be able to analyze your usage patterns and establish the best settings so that you don’t have to.
