South Korean tech giant Samsung unfolded three new models of its monitor line-up for 2022. The first of these new monitors is the Samsung Odyssey Neo G8, a 32-inch display with the world's first 4K 240Hz panel. The other two models are Smart Monitor M8 and Samsung S8.
Talking about the Odyssey Neo G8, it supports AMD FreeSync Premium Pro and Nvidia’s G-Sync adaptive sync technologies to offer a halt-free gaming experience. It also features a 1000R curvature and Quantum Mini LED backlighting system that uses units that are 1/40th the size of conventional LED units. The monitor also supports dual HDMI 2.1 ports and a single DisplayPort 1.4 connection.
The next model is the Smart Monitor M8 with a 32-inch 4K panel and functions like a regular monitor and a smart TV with a host of streaming apps. It also features an 11.4mm thick profile and a magnetic and moveable SlimFit camera that can be attached for video calling. The new Game Home feature makes it a cloud game streaming monitor.
Lastly, the Samsung S8, which is designed for content creation and is the world's first monitor to be certified as glare-free. The S8 features 98% coverage of the DCI-P3 color space, VESA DisplayHDR 600 certification (32-inch only), and wired LAN support. It features USB-C connectivity and can be connected to supported laptops to send video and audio signals to the monitor and Ethernet data and 90W of power from the monitor to the laptop.
Samsung is still to reveal the pricing of its three new models, and will share more information during CES 2022.
