As a part of its ongoing commitment to bring innovation among Indian users, the Korean giant Samsung is all set to reveal flexible display screens at CES 2013.
It is expected that Samsung Display will display two flexible display panels that could potentially be used on future smartphones or television sets at the 2013 Consumer Electronics Show, which is to be held in january.
According to a latest update, the first display will measure 5.5 inches and will have a HD resolution of 1,280 x 720, good for 267 pixels per inch. The second one will be much larger at 55 inches and be used for the Korean company’s HD TV sets.
It is worth noticing that Samsung’s latest flexible displays will have the ability to curve to a certain degree.
Market watchers added that flexible or curved not new for Samsung. Earlier at CES 2011, the company had showcased a 4.5-inch WVGA flexible display with pixel density of 200 ppi.
Besides Samsung, other device makers including LG and Nokia have also showcased their own flexible screen projects in the past, though they have yet to see the light of day on retail devices.
