With its new startup programme, Sarvam AI aims to support innovators building next-generation AI applications by giving them direct access to advanced models, developer resources and technical collaboration opportunities.
Indian artificial intelligence startup Sarvam AI has announced a new programme designed to support early-stage startups developing AI-driven applications. The initiative, called the Sarvam Startup Programme, seeks to lower entry barriers for founders who want to build products using advanced AI technologies.
The company said the programme will provide selected startups with access to its AI models, developer tools and infrastructure, enabling them to experiment, build and deploy applications more efficiently. By offering technology resources at an early stage, Sarvam aims to help startups focus on product development instead of spending heavily on infrastructure.
According to the company, the initiative is part of its broader effort to strengthen India’s AI ecosystem and encourage developers to create solutions tailored for local needs.
Access to AI models, APIs and technical support
Under the programme, participating startups will receive API credits for a period of six to twelve months, depending on the scale and requirements of their projects. These credits will allow developers to use Sarvam’s core AI capabilities without incurring significant operational costs in the initial stages.
The tools available through the programme include application programming interfaces for speech recognition, text-to-speech conversion, language translation, conversational AI and document intelligence. These technologies are designed to help startups build applications ranging from automated customer interactions to multilingual content platforms.
A key feature of the programme is its focus on India’s diverse language landscape. Sarvam’s AI models support English as well as more than 22 Indian languages, enabling startups to design solutions that can reach users across the country’s multilingual digital ecosystem.
Ecosystem support and product visibility
In addition to infrastructure support, Sarvam AI will provide startups with priority technical assistance from its engineering team. This will help founders integrate AI features into their platforms and deploy production-ready applications more smoothly.
The company also plans to highlight successful startups through joint case studies and promotional initiatives when their products go live. This visibility is expected to help emerging companies gain industry recognition while showcasing practical use cases of Sarvam’s AI technologies.
With the new programme, Sarvam AI hopes to encourage more developers and entrepreneurs to experiment with AI-driven innovation while building solutions that address the unique needs of India’s rapidly expanding digital economy.
