Schneider Electric has announced plans to generate 5,000 additional jobs in Karnataka as part of its ongoing efforts to expand its operations in India. This strategic move is in line with company's commitment to strengthening its footprint in the region and contributing to the state’s economic growth.
A delegation led by MB Patil, Karnataka’s Minister for Large and Medium Industries is visiting Europe ahead of the Global Investors Meet in February 2025. Patil met Bruno Turchet, Vice President - Global Supply Chain Strategy Deployment, Schneider Electric, at the French Embassy. Emphasising the company's confidence in Karnataka as a hub for innovation and manufacturing, Turchet shared plans for the new PCB manufacturing facility.
The announcement underscores Schneider Electric’s focus on localizing its operations and creating job opportunities in key markets. Karnataka, known for its thriving technology ecosystem and robust industrial base, has been a hub for Schneider Electric’s activities in India. The creation of these new roles will span various domains, including manufacturing, engineering, research and development (R&D), and administrative support.
The discussions also focused on enhancing the availability of electromechanical engineers and increasing the localization of supply chains. The Minister reiterated the Government of Karnataka’s commitment to supporting Schneider Electric’s expansion and invited its global leadership team to the upcoming Global Investors Meet.
