Real-time luggage monitoring is now available straight on Air India's website and mobile app. Travellers don't have to worry about misplaced or delayed luggage because they can keep an eye on their checked baggage the entire way. There is not much data entry required to use this feature. By only scanning the barcode on their baggage receipts, guests can keep track of their checked-in luggage.
Recently there have been complaints against the airline regarding lost baggage and delays in getting baggage.
Tata Group, parent company of Air India, said that it is among the selected few airlines globally that provide this convenience directly to guests without any intervention from airline staff.
Other information like current location and arrival details about baggage will be available for the passengers.
"The status coverage includes all important baggage touch points where baggage tracking technology is available such as check-in, security clearance, aircraft loading, transfers, and arrival in the baggage claim area," the airline said.
