Sundar Balasubramanian exits VMware
2019-08-07As per the latest reports, Sundar Balasubramanian has put in his papers at VMware India. He had joined the company in 2015.
Balasubramanian was the channel chief for VMware India. In this role, he led the partner and alliances team managing distributors, resellers, SIs, OEMs, ISVs, Technology Alliance Partners and cloud service providers.
As senior director, commercial sales and partners at VMware India, he was also responsible for commercial business sales team across four regions and key verticals in India.
Sundar had worked with industry leaders such as EMC, IBM and Microsoft before joining VMware. Balasubramnian has almost three decades of diverse sales, business and partner leadership experience in the IT industry.
While at IBM, Sundar was Business Unit Executive - Sales, Channels, SI & ISV - Systems & Technology Group (India & South Asia) from 2012 to 2015 before he joined VMware.
In his five year stint with EMC he held roles of senior director, Customer Support Services, Global Servicer and also director and general manager, Strategy & Business Productivity. In his earlier role, he had his career’s longest stint of eight plus years with Microsoft in different strategic roles from 1999 to 2007.
