As per the source, Sundar Balasubramanian has geared to join the leader into Data security Check Point, provider of software and combined hardware and software products for IT security, including network security, endpoint security, cloud security, mobile security, data security and security management and Sundar will report to Sharat Sinha, Vice President for APAC. He is responsible for driving Check Point’s market and business growth in the region, focusing on sales strategy and operational plans. He had joined from VMware, where he had worked as the VP for Asia-Pacific and Japan for 4 years.
Balasubramanian had worked as the channel chief for VMware India. In this role, he led the partner and alliances team managing distributors, resellers, SIs, OEMs, ISVs, Technology Alliance Partners and cloud service providers. As senior director, commercial sales and partners at VMware India, he was also responsible for commercial business sales team across four regions and key verticals in India.
Sundar had worked with industry leaders such as EMC, IBM and Microsoft before joining VMware. Balasubramnian has almost three decades of diverse sales, business and partner leadership experience in the IT industry. While at IBM, Sundar was Business Unit Executive - Sales, Channels, SI & ISV - Systems & Technology Group (India & South Asia) from 2012 to 2015 before he joined VMware.
