Sunita Ahuja files for divorce from Govinda, accuses him of cheating and adultery

According to a news update, Sunita Ahuja has filed for divorce from Bollywood actor Govinda in Bandra Family Court on the grounds of ‘adultery, cruelty and desertion.’

Ahuja had recently made headlines after she talked about her divorce rumours in a recent vlog.

In February this year, several media reports claimed that Govinda and Sunita Ahuja had decided to part ways owing to constant disagreements and varied lifestyles. It was also said that Govinda’s growing closeness to a 30-year-old Marathi actress is reportedly a major factor in their alleged split.

Sunita Ahuja has filed for divorce under Section 13 (1) (i), (ia), (ib) of the Hindu Marriage Act 1955. The report claimed that the court had summoned Govinda on May 25 and since June the two have been trying to work things out.

While Sunita is quite punctual and has been appearing in court, Govinda has been missing.

In her recent vlog, Sunita Ahuja was seen addressing the divorce rumours surrounding her marriage. In the vlog, she was seen visiting a temple where, while speaking to the priest, she said that she has been visiting Mahalaxmi Mandir since her childhood.

She further broke down in tears and said in her vlog, “When I met Govinda, I prayed to the Goddess that I should get married to him and have a good life. The Goddess fulfilled all my wishes—she even blessed me with two children. But not every truth in life is easy; there are always ups and downs. Still, I have so much faith in the Goddess that whatever I am witnessing today, I know that whoever tries to break my home, Maa Kaali is there.”
