Switch off Alexa during your private moments: Ex Amazon executive Robert Fredrick
By VARINDIA - 2020-02-19
Former Amazon executive Robert Fredrick admitted that he switches off Alexa if he wishes to have a private conversation or any private moment. Last year Amazon was forced to admit that some conversations recorded by virtual assistant Alexa were listened to and transcribed by humans.
Amazon says human staff listens to less than one percent of conversations to check for accuracy and the information is made anonymous before they see it.
Robert Frederick, who worked at Amazon for about seven years, told that he turns off all Alexa-enabled devices whenever he wants to have a private conversation or a private moment.
Amazon also said users can stop Alexa from listening to them.
