Symantec has announced significant enhancements to Symantec Management Center. The centralized solution manages the network portfolio inside of the Symantec Integrated Cyber Defense Platform, allowing customers to seamlessly migrate to the cloud or a hybrid network security solution, simplifying the security challenges inherent in cloud generation transitions.
In order to maximize the value of Symantec Network Protection Solutions, including Symantec’s powerful, market-leading ProxySG, customers must be able to quickly and easily roll out, configure, monitor, manage and back up their deployments as they migrate from on-premises solutions to the cloud.
Symantec Management Center is a unified management platform that provides centralized visibility and control for Symantec network security products, to help reduce operational costs and improve return on investment. Management Center 2.0 includes these new features –
* AWS Support enables deployment to hosted virtual machines and allows customers to seamlessly transition to cloud-based Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) solutions. The centralized, unified management extends the security benefits of Symantec Network Protection solutions to the cloud while streamlining operational policy, management and deployment.
* Virtual Appliance Licensing options that support up to 1,000 devices and allow virtualized infrastructure to scale as an organization’s business grows.
Wassim Tawbi, Vice-President of Product Management, Symantec, says, “Flexible and scalable deployment of Management Center is an effective way to help maximize the benefits of network security solutions including Symantec Secure Web Gateway. Centralized management and reporting can streamline operational needs and improve visibility and effectiveness for customers as they evolve toward a cloud generation infrastructure.”
Symantec Management Center 2.0 is now available globally.
