Symphony has reported a 68% rise in net profit at Rs.19.67 crore for the fourth quarter ended June 30, 2012 as against Rs.11.74 crore in the corresponding quarter of previous fiscal 2010-11. Net sales for Q4FY2012 at Rs.87.06 crore were higher by 52% over previous fiscal’s turnover of Rs.57.4 crore.
The company has declared total dividend of Rs.5.50 per share (275% on an equity share of face value of Rs.2/- each), including Silver Jubilee Year Special Dividend of Rs.2.50 per share (125%). The Company had declared 100% dividend in the last year.
For the full year ended June 30, 2012, the company reported a net profit of Rs.50.34 crore against a net profit of Rs.44.93 crore in the previous financial year, a 12% growth. Net sales in 2011-12 at Rs.250 crore were higher by 7% compared to Rs.233 crore in the previous fiscal.
Nrupesh Shah, Executive Director, Symphony Ltd., said, "Due to a cooler summer initially, sales in April and May did not pick up much in India. But, from June onwards, there was a significant jump in demand and it made up for the initial slow sales. Exports are increasingly helping the company in balancing out the seasonality-based sales in India. As our company establishes itself firmly in over 60 countries globally, we expect strong sales growth in the coming years."
