Taiwan Excellence is participating in Taiwan Expo 2020 being held virtually this year due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Re-enforcing its presence as a creator and promoter of smart living, smart lifestyle and ICT products at the strategically efficient annual event, Taiwan Excellence’s presence will drive essential traffic towards the Expo.
The virtual event being held from 16th to 18th December 2020, is providing a platform to connect a network between Taiwanese and Indian companies for exploring business opportunities together. It is organized by the Bureau of Foreign Trade, MOEA and Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA).
Through a virtual presence at the Taiwan Expo, top notch Taiwanese brands have put up a splendid show displaying a range of products such as healthcare equipment, smart lifestyle enhancement appliances and ICT gadgets. As many as 24 Taiwan Excellence awarded brands present in the TE pavilion have showcased their products within three main categories - ICT and Machinery, Smart Living as well as Healthcare.
Taiwan Excellence’s award-winning and cutting-edge products have been much in demand, especially as the world grapples with the COVID-19 pandemic and there has been a worldwide boom in remote working and learning. To ensure business and learning continuity during this crisis, one of the mainstays has been the need for robust, easy-to-use communication tools.
James Huang, Chairman, TAITRA, said, “India and Taiwan are natural partners who can work together to build the world’s digital future. Since our first Taiwan Expo two years ago, we’ve seen tremendous progress achieved by the joint effort of our two countries. In the face of COVID-19, we are more convinced than ever that India and Taiwan can work together to overcome not just the pandemic but any challenge that comes our way. Our visions for the future are closely aligned. In the coming years, India and Taiwan, two technology powerhouses and natural economic partners, will unlock the vast potential of the Indian economy in all areas, including manufacturing, medicine, and technology. Together, we can create a healthy, safe and secure digital future for the world we live in.”
Owing to its strong ICT technology and passion for innovation, Taiwanese brands have made their presence felt in global markets, including India, with many products optimally suited to support new ways of working and learning. Since the past several decades, Taiwan has been rapidly strengthening its position as a technological powerhouse. With a proactive approach to the development of emerging technologies, the country is strengthening its presence globally driven by the growing adoption of wireless connectivity of electronic devices.
At this year’s Taiwan Expo, Taiwan Excellence is displaying some highly advanced and innovative products from various brands including AIFA, Annie's Way, Avision, Bintronic, Delta, Edgecore Networks, EverFocus, IBASE, Justime, Jutian Cleantech, Karma Medical, LIWIN, MedicalTek, LuftQi, MSI, Puma Industrial, SAEKO, Sheng Yuan Electric (Alaska), Tuma, InnoClip, AROFLY, TRONCO, U.CR+, VAGO, etc.
Some of the leading brands showcasing at the Expo are names to reckon with in their respective fields. MSI is a leading gaming brand and the most trusted name in gaming and eSports. The brand has integrated all gamers’ coveted functions into its gaming rigs, eliminating the tedious trial and error by themselves and pushing the performance beyond limits. IBASE Technology specializes in the design and manufacturing of robust industrial PC products, delivering high quality products and excellent service. IBASE carries out manufacturing and quality control at its own facilities in Taiwan that are certified with ISO 9001, ISO 13485 and ISO 14001 standards. LuftQi’s LUFT Cube is compact, filterless air purifier which can neutralize pollutants, odors, allergens, and toxic chemicals and convert them into water and carbon dioxide. Karma Medical is a global wheelchair manufacturer with over 30 years' experience in ultra-light wheelchairs, high-end power wheelchairs etc.
For countries like India, Taiwan Excellence’s pavilion at the Expo will present latest innovative smart living and advanced ICT solutions which are the need of the hour. Amidst the pandemic, companies were exploring strong and sustainable remote working solutions to adjust to the sudden change. There was a growing need for technological tools to support mobility, security and freedom to collaborate. To this end, Taiwanese brands came forward to help plug in the gaps by offering the right solutions to allow remote working, learning as well as smart living without any bottlenecks.
For some time now, Taiwan has been looking at increasing its footprint in India in a major way through key investments in areas such as smart solutions, hardware, software, and electronics that are driving bilateral trade between the two countries. The Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) offices were set up in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai in 2018 to expedite trade relations between the two nations. The bilateral trade, which stood at $1 billion in 2000, touched $7 billion in 2019.
This year, TAITRA has enabled a special virtual reality (VR) tour on the homepage of Taiwan Expo, giving visitors the feel of actually arriving at the exhibition hall and browsing through the product area. All products will be exhibited in 3D VR, and there will be more than 100 virtual booths. Each virtual booth represents each companies’ virtual identity.
To ease out the selection process of products and networking, information about products and companies have been put up on the Expo website. A viewership of 100K per day for the 3 days of the Expo is expected for Taiwan Excellence’s virtual pavilion. While the pandemic may have limited physical exhibitions; through the virtual Expo, buyers, dealers, distributors as well as companies can make the most of the opportunity by being a part of the online Taiwan Excellence pavilion at their convenience and within the lowest of costs.
