Tata Communications is planning to bring out solutions that will help operators to offer voice calls over 4G network.
Here, it is worth noticing that Maximum revenue of telecom operators comes from voice services. So, Voice calls over 4G network can be a revenue generator as it allows mobile operators to offer high-definition voiceover 4G LTE networks.
In India, Bharti Airtel and Aircel have already launched 4G services in some cities on the 2,300 MHz band, or using the TD-LTE technology. As far as Reliance Jio Infocomm is concerned, it is the sole holder of pan-India licence for 4G LTE on TD-LTE band.
As per market reviewers, poor voice quality on the band is preventing operators with 4G licence from launching services in a broader way.
Reliance Jio is expected to start rolling out services sometime next year.
