TCS partners AMD to accelerate enterprise AI adoption and modernise digital infrastructure
The strategic collaboration aims to help enterprises scale AI from pilots to production by co-developing industry-specific GenAI solutions, modernising hybrid cloud and edge environments, and building secure, high-performance digital workplaces.
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) has announced a strategic collaboration with semiconductor major AMD to support enterprises in accelerating artificial intelligence adoption, modernising legacy technology environments, and building secure, high-performance digital workplaces.
Under the partnership, the two companies will jointly focus on helping organisations move beyond AI experimentation to large-scale, production-ready deployments. The collaboration combines TCS’s deep industry knowledge, systems integration capabilities, and global innovation ecosystem with AMD’s high-performance computing and AI technology portfolio.
Co-developing industry-specific AI solutions
As part of the agreement, TCS and AMD plan to co-develop industry-specific AI and generative AI solutions tailored for key sectors such as life sciences, manufacturing, and banking and financial services. Use cases include drug discovery in life sciences, cognitive quality engineering and smart manufacturing, and intelligent risk management in BFSI.
The partnership will also deliver AI accelerators, frameworks, and best practices designed to optimise both training and inference workloads. These solutions aim to help enterprises fully leverage AI across hybrid cloud, edge, and cloud-to-edge environments, while improving performance, scalability, and security.
“AI adoption is accelerating, and unlocking its potential requires a new scale of high-performance computing and deep collaboration across the industry,” said Dr Lisa Su, Chair and Chief Executive Officer of AMD. “Through our work with TCS, we are helping customers translate AI innovation into new growth opportunities across industries.”
Focus on talent, infrastructure, and AI at scale
A key pillar of the collaboration is talent development. TCS plans to rapidly upskill and certify its workforce on AMD’s latest hardware and software platforms, while both companies will jointly invest in building a strong pool of AI and high-performance computing experts to drive co-innovation.
On the technology front, TCS will integrate AMD Ryzen CPU-powered client solutions for workplace transformation and leverage AMD EPYC CPUs, AMD Instinct GPUs, and AI accelerators to modernise hybrid cloud and high-performance computing environments. AMD’s embedded computing portfolio, including adaptive system-on-chips and FPGAs, will also support edge innovation and industrial digitalisation.
“Our collaboration with AMD is a significant step in scaling AI for the enterprise,” said K Krithivasan, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of TCS. “Together, we plan to co-create industry-specific GenAI solutions, modernise hybrid cloud and edge environments, and shape the next generation of intelligent workplaces.”
The companies said the partnership reflects their shared ambition to help enterprises adapt to the AI era by building future-ready, AI-led digital infrastructure and solutions at scale.
