Tech Data has appointed Tom Kraabel as Vice President, Human Resources, Asia Pacific. In this role Kraabel will lead the strategic direction and operations of Tech Data's Asia Pacific Human Resources function, including talent management and retention, organizational and performance management, training and development, succession planning, employee benefits, and compensation. Kraabel is based in Singapore and reports directly to Beth Simonetti, Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources officer with dotted line reporting to William Chu, President, Asia Pacific.

Kraabel brings with him more than two decades of human resources experience spanning Asia Pacific, Europe, the Middle East and the United States. Most recently he served as vice president, Global Talent Acquisition and Development at Pall Corporation. Prior to this, he held human resources leadership positions with the likes of MasterCard, Ingram Micro and Honeywell. Kraabel also served as a principal at LeBaark Consulting, a provider of interim human resources leadership, executive coaching, and strategic consulting services.
Kraabel holds a Bachelor’s degree in business from Luther College and a Master’s degree in human resources and industrial relations from the University of Minnesota’s Carlson School of Business. He also serves as a Co-Chair on the American Chamber of Commerce’s Human Capital Committee.
