
Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, along with Cabinet Ministers D. Sridhar Babu and Uttam Kumar Reddy, held a strategic meeting with Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella in Hyderabad. The discussions focused on fostering the state’s technological growth and strengthening its position as a global tech hub.
Microsoft, one of the pioneering technology companies in Hyderabad, has significantly expanded its presence over the years, employing around 10,000 professionals. Additionally, the company has invested in a 600 MW data centre in the state, underscoring its commitment to the region's digital infrastructure.
During the meeting, Chief Minister Reddy expressed gratitude to Nadella for Microsoft’s consistent investments and growth in Telangana. The discussions covered key technology priorities, including advancements in artificial intelligence (AI), generative AI, and cloud computing. The Chief Minister sought Microsoft's collaboration to establish Hyderabad as a global leader in technological innovation.
The state government also highlighted its ambitious plans for infrastructure development, such as the Regional Ring Road, radial roads, and the Future City initiative. These projects aim to create new manufacturing clusters and enhance connectivity. The Chief Minister outlined his vision to build a skilled workforce through initiatives like the Young India Skills University, aiming to produce industry-ready talent for emerging sectors.
According to a statement from the Chief Minister’s Office, Nadella expressed Microsoft’s commitment to partnering with Telangana in its development initiatives. He commended the government’s focus on skill development and infrastructure enhancement, emphasizing their importance in positioning Hyderabad among the world's top 50 cities for economic growth.
