Trump Media & Technology Group, the company behind the social media platform Truth Social, has launched its TV streaming platform, Truth+, globally, featuring the cable channel Newsmax to support the company's expansion. The move also allows conservative news outlet Newsmax to increase its presence outside the United States. Trump Media said users can now access streaming channels and on-demand video through Truth+ apps on iOS, Android, web, and connected TV platforms, including Apple TV, Android TV, Amazon Fire TV, and Roku.
“We’re gratified by the fast introduction of Truth+ to international markets,” said Trump Media CEO and Chairman Devin Nunes. “We are laying the groundwork to challenge the woke news monolith with hard-hitting, non-woke reporting and commentary.”
Newsmax CEO Chris Ruddy added, “It’s only natural they would grow globally, and we’re proud to partner with Trump Media on this expansion.”
While Truth+ is now available on multiple connected TV platforms, apps for LG and Samsung smart TVs will go live once they receive official approval. The company stated that all relevant app stores worldwide will carry the apps as rollout continues.
The global rollout is still undergoing testing, and user feedback is being collected to ensure stable performance. The company will make a formal announcement once the rollout is fully complete and all devices are supported.
