Jack Dorsey, the co-founder and CEO of Twitter, who is currently on a visit to India will be hosting a townhall meet. Dorsey, who landed in the country on November 10 is expected to meet with students from IIT Delhi, to talk about the role of youth in shaping the political and social scene in the country.
He is also said to be holding discussions about the launch of a youth initiative by Twitter, and would meet up with the IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad during the tour, in a bid to discuss ways of curbing malicious and hate speech on the platform.
Dorsey tweeted about his India visit on November 10, noting that this is his first trip to the country after a long wait.
Since Dorsey hails Dalai Lama as an 'amazing teacher', he flew to meet the Buddhist spiritual leader. After meeting Dalai Lama, Dorsey flew to Jaipur and posted photos from the Pink City.
His discussions with the IT Minister would revolve around preventing the misuse of the platform in the run-up to General elections, which are scheduled for 2019.
Also, Twitter is also looking at strengthening its management team in the country.
