Uninor is celebrating five years of its presence in India. With over 42 million customers and close-to 6.5% revenue market share (RMS) in less than five years operations, the company is amongst the top five telecom operators in its six operating circles.

As a part of the its fifth anniversary celebrations, Uninor is offering free Facebook and WhatsApp pack for 5 days to all its subscribers transacting at any of the 1,500 Uninor-owned retail outlets across its six circles. The offer will be applicable on any recharge or activation done by a subscriber. This offer will be available for a week until December 6

“The free Facebook and WhatsApp offer is a small token of appreciation towards our customers who have made this journey successful. We will continue to offer Sabse Sasta (most affordable) and relevant voice and Internet services to them in the coming years too,” Upanga Dutta, Chief Marketing Officer, Uninor.

In the last five years, Uninor has steadily increased its market share by continuing to provide market relevant services at the Sabse Sasta tariffs, thus making telecommunication services affordable across all segments of society. With the launch of its Internet for all strategy, the company has enabled a service-based approach to data leading to an exponential growth in the adoption of digital services amongst its customer base. Uninor’s Sabse Sasta Facebook and WhatsApp service-based offers have enabled it to grow its Internet subscribers by 70% and achieve Internet revenue growth by 103%.

In December 2013, Uninor became the fastest telecom operator to break even in all its six operating circles. It continues to invest in network expansion and added 5,000 new towers this year. The enhanced coverage has improved the reach and enabled better quality of service, allowing more and more people to benefit from its Sabse Sasta offerings.
