“From a technology perspective, allowing funding for technology incubators located within academic institutions to qualify as CSR expenditure as per the new Companies Act will give a huge boost to entrepreneurs and start-ups and increase the engagement of the corporate sector and start-ups.” He further says, “From the perspective of the IT industry, clarifications on the taxation rules regarding development centres and safe harbour rules are very welcome as are measures to drive skill development, with a special focus on tier-II and tier-III towns. Overall, it would be safe to say that, with this Budget, we have started our climb back to higher GDP growth levels.”
