Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is intensifying efforts to establish Uttar Pradesh as a leading global center for data centers, electronics manufacturing, and IT exports, urging officials to streamline processes for investors.
During a recent review of the IT and Electronics Department, the CM highlighted the state’s impressive recent performance. Electronics exports have seen a dramatic surge, rising from ₹3,862 crore in 2017-18 to ₹44,744 crore in 2024-25. Similarly, IT exports have grown to ₹82,055 crore in the same period.
The state’s supportive Data Centre Policy has already attracted major investment proposals exceeding ₹21,342 crore from large groups like Hiranandani, Adani, and NTT Global, projects expected to generate approximately 10,000 jobs. The Electronics Manufacturing Policy has also secured proposals worth ₹15,477 crore, with the potential to create over 1.48 lakh jobs.
CM Adityanath emphasized the critical need for a simple, transparent, and time-bound approval system for all IT and IT-enabled services (ITES) investors, ensuring incentives are disbursed without delay and clear accountability is maintained.
To fuel future growth, the Chief Minister has directed officials to develop new land banks in key tech zones like Noida, Greater Noida, and YEIDA. He also called for innovative training models and strengthened industry collaboration to enhance youth skills and integrate them into the rapidly expanding tech and startup economy, aiming to position UP at the forefront of global competition.
