Veteran actor Dr. Shriram Lagoo passes away

Veteran theatre and film actor Dr. Shriram Lagoo passed away on December 18 due to old age in Mumbai. He was 92. An ENT surgeon by education, Dr. Lagoo was a well-known name in theatre and the film industry.
Dr Lagoo was awarded with the Dinanath Mangeshkar Smriti Pratishthan in 2006 for his contribution to cinema and theatre, Padmabhushan in 2007 and Sangeet Natak Academy fellowship in 2010.
Ithe oshalala Mrityu (Marathi play), Natasamrat (Marathi play), Pinjra (Marathi film), Gharonda (Bollywood), Singhasan (Bollywood), Laawaris (Bollywood) are among the few works he will be remembered for.
