Vivo announces list of smartphones to get OriginOS update
Vivo has introduced its new Android skin called OriginOS. This new Android skin will replace the existing FunTouch OS of the company. The OriginOS comes with widget support called Klotski grid - which can be both rectangular or square in shape. These widgets can also deliver “Nano Alerts,” making them display regular updated information.
The company also adds that the Origin OS will also offer support for realistic looking wallpapers. The new OS skin also comes with 26 gesture combinations and support for easy access to SuperCard - a mobile payment tool. Vivo has now confirmed the list of smartphones which will receive this latest Android skin on their Vivo smartphones.
The company has confirmed the range of Vivo smartphones which will get the open beta update in China before January 2021. The company has also confirmed that its upcoming Vivo X series of smartphones will come with OriginOS out-of-the-box.
The list of Vivo smartphones which will receive the update before January include:
vivo NEX 3S, vivo X50 Pro+, vivo X50 Pro, vivo X50, vivo S7, iQOO 5 Pro, iQOO 5, iQOO 3, iQOO Pro, iQOO, and iQOO Neo3.
The second wave of the update will include smartphones which will get update in February include:
vivo NEX 3 / NEX 3 5G, vivo X30 / X30 Pro, iQOO Neo, and iQOO Neo 855.
The third batch of vivo smartphones that will get OriginOS open beta update in Q2 2021 will include:
vivo X27 Pro, vivo X27, vivo X27 8GB + 128GB, vivo S6, vivo S5, vivo S1 Pro, vivo S1, vivo Z6, vivo Z5x, vivo Z5i, vivo Z5, iQOO Z1x, IQOO Z1, vivo NEX dual screen, vivo NEX S, and vivo NEX / Nex.
