VMware has unveiled a commissioned study by IDC, titled “Accelerating Partner Performance in Digital Transformation”. The study maps the capacity of channel partners in the region to support and transition their customers in their respective journeys of digital transformation. The study was initially released during VMware’s annual Partner Leadership Forum.
The report provides an in-depth examination of –
* How partners are successfully accelerating their customer’s digital transformation journeys
* How their businesses are structured and organized to be best positioned to take advantage of the opportunity
* How they are handling the necessary transitional steps and making headway against traditional roadblocks
Additionally, the report also reveals that, whilst there are multiple strategies that are able to deliver value to customers in their digital transformation journey, it is the key to ensure that these strategies are perceived by the customers as having a unique value proposition.
Sundar Balasubramanian, Senior Director – General Business (Commercial Sales and Partners), VMware, says, “Indian businesses that want to build longstanding value for their customers are looking to transform digitally to stay ahead and deliver the best services. VMware is committed to the goal of providing the best for their customers, and is working closely with the partner ecosystem to deliver the same. Our products and technologies are constantly evolving and so we work to empower our partners by keeping them informed of not just our product innovations but also go-to-market strategy and vision. This study will help partners understand where they are in the curve of digital transformation and what they need to do to be able to act as advisors to the end customers who are looking to transform.”
VMware’s Partner Leadership Forum brings together partners, including solution providers, service providers, system integrators, distributors, technology partners, and OEM partners. The event offers an opportunity for the partners to engage with VMware executives and industry peers as they explore joint business opportunities, customer use-cases, solution practices and partnering best practices.
Sharat Sinha, Vice-President, Commercial Business and Partners, VMware APJ, says, “VMware’s annual Partner Leadership Forum is an opportunity for us to share our vision and strategy with our partners. The forum offers a wide variety of sessions that are designed to enhance strategic planning and accelerate execution at every level for the partner’s organization. These sessions, executive group discussions and customer use- case presentations help provide perspectives on business challenges and highlight best practices for the future.”
During the Global Partner Leadership Summit that took place this year in May, at Scottsdale, Arizona, Pat Gelsinger, CEO VMware, Inc., shared, “VMware’s vision to transform the way customers build, deliver and consume technology and the unique role partners play to help VMware’s customers. Sanjay Poonen, COO, Customer Operations, VMware also shared his views on the IT industry and highlighted how customers and partners are successfully growing their VMware practice.”
Partner Leadership Forum India provided an opportunity for partners to interact with the leadership team of VMware India in sessions that were interactive, candid and transparent. The event empowered partners within formation that will enable them to develop and execute a comprehensive go-to-market plan in 2018 and beyond.
